2023 Semillon

Rattlenake hills

94% Semillon, Angiolina Vineyard
6% Sauvignon Blanc, Angiolina Vineyard

Our 2023 Semillon is crafted from grapes grown at Angiolina Farm Vineyard, a Sustainable WA-certified vineyard in the Rattlesnake Hills AVA. This wine demonstrates our commitment to quality and eco-conscious practices.

The wine greets you with a bouquet of citrus zest, dried grass, and a subtle hint of minerality. The palate reveals a full-bodied, round character with a creamy texture. Flavors of ripe apricot, juicy pear, and crisp apple create a harmonious blend, while moderate acidity provides a refreshing balance. The wine’s rich texture and complex flavor profile make it an exceptional choice for food pairings.

This versatile Semillon is a superb companion to a range of dishes. It enhances the delicate flavors of sushi and complements the tangy notes of goat cheese. It stands up beautifully to roast chicken, creamy seafood risotto with lemon and herbs, and shellfish. At the same time, its nuanced character makes it an excellent match for lightly spiced Indian cuisine and aromatic Asian dishes. For cheese lovers, it pairs well with Comté, Gruyère, and Cheddar.

Harvest & Winemaking

Our Sémillon, sourced from Angiolina Vineyard, was harvested on September 22, 2023. The grapes were carefully destemmed and fermented in a stainless-steel tank at cool temperatures to preserve delicate flavors. After five days of skin contact, the juice was gently pressed and matured in neutral oak barrels for nine months. To enhance its aromatic profile, we blended it with a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc. The finished wine was bottled on September 3, 2024.
